High Strength Kevlar Reinforced Cables ::
We’ve upgraded almost all our headphone cables to a premium Kevlar-infused cable, ensuring maximum strength and flexibility even under the most strenuous uses. Our new reinforced cables have proved to be among the STRONGEST headphone cables on the market. Our rigorous testing proved over THREE times the average cable strength, six times the specified minimum standards and up to 20+ times the tested strength of several of the top ten headphone brands.
New 45º Plug ::
We have completely re-engineered our plug to a sleek, durable design that has proven to withstand the wear and tear of daily use. The new 45-degree flexible design allows for an optimal range of motion while maintaining a sleek, sturdy metallic core fused to our 24-carat gold-plated steel plug. Many of our competitors plugs are made of less durable copper and do not use proper grounding methods specified by top digital music players.
Stringent Audio Testing ::
We run three frequency response sweeps on every unit to ensure that the V-MODA Audio Consistency is held within the tightest audio standards in the industry. This audio "mask" is the foundation of the V-MASQUE drivers in our products. Since headphone drivers are so small, any small variance in the driver, coil or housing will cause a large acoustic difference from unit to unit. Many competitors have a 10+ dB variance in sound.

V-MODA In-House QC Test Machine::
Wire Flex Machine::
Our wire flex machine bends our Kevlar reinforced cables up to 90 degrees each way with 100 gram weights to make sure the internal wiring doesn’t damage or break. We then also make sure all connectivity points, whether it’s at the earbud, on the microphone or at the y-connector can also withstand strain.
Compression and Tension Machine::
Our cables go under another rigorous test to determine how many kilograms of force they can withstand before snapping in our Compression and Tension machine. Our Kevlar reinforcement makes our cables stronger than most of our competitors.
The Oscilloscope::
The Oscilloscope tests the power inputs going into the earbuds before clipping. We run a test and monitor the square wave produced for 100 hours. This allows us to calibrate the voltage of power going through the earbud.
Environmental Chamber::
We use the Environmental Chamber to test the lifespan of our headphones to ensure that they will survive to the warranty period and beyond. This is accomplished by exposing the headphones to low and high temperature extremes in order to accelerate the environmental conditions that the products are exposed to during their service life.
